The ABCs of SNC: E is for...

We love the eggnog!!!

Who Spiked the Eggnog? is another SNC original, this time written and arranged by SNC Tenor 1 and generally speaking one of my favorite songwriter/arrangers, Ryan Ahlwardt, and the "a cappellegendary" Deke Sharon (lol I totally just made up that word, but it definitely fits him!). Between this song and The Christmas Can-Can I mentioned before, as well as Indiana Christmas, Christmas Wish and All My Life by Dan Ponce, you can start to understand why I'm so excited at the thought of someday having a CD of all or mostly all originals from these guys! Actually, that should be SO EXCITED!!!

SNC has two EPs, the appropriately named "Six Pack" Vols 1 and 2.  I really love the covers on these - one microphone for each guy, and the way they're the inverses of each other. "EP" is short for "Extended Play" and it just means that the CDs don't have enough tracks to be called a full album, but they're also longer than a single A side / B side record. Don't even bother asking what my favorite song is on these because... *deep breath* I can't choose!

Six Pack Vol 1 (2009)
1. Rehab
2. I'm Yours / Somewhere Over The Rainbow
3. The Man Who Can't Be Moved
4. Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours / I Was Made To Love Her
5. You Send Me
6. Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You

Six Pack Vol 2 (2011)
1. Get Ready
2. Like A Prayer
3. Billie Jean/Poison
4. Rhythm Of Love / Can't Help Falling In Love
5. Buddy Holly
6. Let's Get It On

I couldn't leave the letter E without mentioning Ryan's fantastic Elvis!  We first heard it on the hilarious Santa Claus is Back in Town and we finally got to see it during the 50's Medley at Harrah's last summer, another of my favorite SNC arrangements. This particular video is a close up, but I recommend that you do a YouTube search for "Straight No Chaser 50's medley" and watch a wide angle version of this, too.

SNCFunFact: The "B" on their sweaters stands for "Boardwalk."

Okay, so now you're ready to tackle one of the big Chaser questions: Are you #TeamElvis or #TeamDooWop? We also use #TeamLeather and #TeamSweaters. Let us know in the comments!

I'm much more #TeamDooWop because I'm not that big an Elvis fan (however I am a big Ryan fan)!
