Seggie is a Straight No Chaser baritone, vocal percussionist and musical arranger.

Follow Seggie on Twitter @SNCSeggie. He loves movies and he often tweets his reviews to help us decide whether we should see it or save our money. Watch for the hashtag #seggiesmoviereviews.  For the perfect movie snack he recommends mixing some plain M&Ms into the popcorn.

Seggie also tweets about the best restaurants and hangouts he finds as he visits new places or returns to his favorites while on tour, and occasionally mentions his sports teams. Let's-see-if-I-can-remember-which-teams-oh-right DETROIT (he's originally from Michigan) and the Hoosiers, of course.

I'm a bit hesitant to post this particular video, but it's a really great video of this medley and it includes Seggie's intro.  (And Randy's fine, so...) Enjoy!

This may not be the Very Best Video Ever of this song on YouTube, but I'm proud of it because it's mine!  It's part of my souvenir from my first SNC concert last December.  As soon as I click play I'm right back in that seat watching the guys on stage, who by the way are all much taller in person than they are on YouTube.  It's hard not to sway while watching this song!

Seggie moves and dances through the entire show, something I didn't really realize until I saw them live.  It seemed like he never stopped!  To answer the question that often comes up after this particular song intro, Seggie is neither Italian nor Hispanic, but Assyrian. He is named after King Sargon of Akkad and "Seggie" is a common nickname for Sargon.

Seggie is highly allergic to nuts and cats, which means he really, REALLY doesn't like cats, so he takes a lot of flack from the cat lovers of the world. lol  This also means that he is not going to eat any fan homemade cookies or cakes, so (just some friendly advice) it's best not to bring any.  SNC has respectfully asked us in the past to leave the baked goods at home (my paraphrasing).  None of them want to hurt your feelings, but for Seggie it's a health risk to be eating random treats, and a lot of the other guys are working hard these days with an awesome personal trainer so, to quote Seggie's FanChat, "Cookies are evil right now, like cats."     

Although his music career is currently in a cappella and he has been singing since he was little, Seggie actually majored in trumpet. One off tour day, he mentioned on Twitter that he was practicing, so we pestered him mercilessly politely requested to hear something and he uploaded a small clip for us.

If my calculations are correct (I've always wanted to say that) the professional SNC group is the first time Seggie and Charlie have sung together.  They were never in the same Straight No Chaser at IU, since Charlie was one of the original ten and graduated before Seggie joined the legacy group.  I say this because in the professional group they've become quite the comedy team!  I sometimes joke that every video should be watched a minimum of 11 times - the first time is to simply enjoy the song, and then the next ten times are to watch and see what each guy is up to in the background.  There's always something, and just when you think you have it figured out, they surprise you again!

Seggie does not have any solo music recordings or videos that I know of, but please feel free to correct me in the comments if I'm wrong.
