Second Annual National Underrated Basses Week

Well Chasers, it is hard to believe that it has been a full year since we have started celebrating appreciation weeks for the guys! The craziness started with National Underrated Basses Week last year, and it was such a success that we also had appreciation weeks to celebrate the rest of our favorite a cappella men. Starting today, we’re heading into the second annual NUBW! This week is all about highlighting the awesome, talented and funny Randy Stine and Charlie Mechling. We have all of our appreciation activities from last year, plus some new ones that we just added in.

So make sure you are following our twitter account (@NUBW), and like the facebook page (National Underrated Basses Week) to keep up with the excitement. Start the week off right by sharing a video of your favorite #basslove song with everyone on facebook and twitter today, since Monday is musical talent day! Be sure to use the hashtags #NUBW and #basslove on twitter, and tag the facebook page in your facebook posts.

Starting Tuesday, we will be having our first Name that Bass Note contest, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for more information about that. The winner and runner-up will receive signed pictures of our two favorite basses! The full week’s schedule isn’t going to be posted immediately, so stay tuned to find out what is happening for the rest of the week!

Tuesday we will be appreciating Charlie and Randy’s dashing good looks, so while you are posting your videos prepare all of your favorite pictures to share tomorrow. If you don’t have your own pictures, share pictures from others (but please ask for permission and give credit where credit is due!).

Wednesday we will be appreciating the guys’ time, by pledging money to any music program or time to another charity on behalf of our basstastic guys to be completed by January 1, 2012.

Thanks for participating in our second annual National Underrated Basses Week! The official email is nationalunderratedbassesweek@gmail.com if any Chaser needs to get a hold of us. There have been so many great Chasers that have made the planning of this week possible, so thank you all for helping this week be a success.
